Tips for creating an organized and functional kitchen. Whether you've been in a house for five or 10 years, or you're just moving in, creating an organized flow in a kitchen is key. Don't be scared not just to organize the inside of a drawer, but don't be scared to change locations. Sitting in your kitchen and really figuring out what doesn't work for you in reimagining what the flow may look like.
What I would start with. Is going step by step with your categories, pots and pans. We know pots and pans can only be in one of a couple places. Does that work? If it works, great. If it doesn't, is there an opportunity to change the location? But if you can't change the location, what would make that space functional?
Could it be one of those no tool pullout drawers that I've talked about before that allows you not to have to bend down so deep and you get to pull it out? Is it making kids storage for their independence, so their plates, their sippy cups, all of that kind of stuff in a very visible spot where they can get to it.
Adjusting shelves, making sure that the glasses that you use every day are not too high for you to reach. What I always will recommend with a kitchen is taking a hard look at the flow of it. Start with each category and try and figure out what does work for you and what might need some tweaking.
