A key to successful organizing is always going to be keeping like categories together, whether it's in a pantry, in a bathroom, wherever it may be, and that doesn't necessarily mean that they all need to be in one space. You can split them up. But what it allows you to do is know exactly where are my serving pieces.
Where are my small appliances, my splitting categories up and keeping them in those categories. It allows you to use spaces that you may not have considered. It might not be ridiculous to have all of your first aid stuff in an area that you would never have thought. As long as it's together, you'll be able to find it.
And that same strategy goes with everything in your house. You can put stuff in any different area as long as you know where you're putting the full category.
